Whistler was the site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and is the one of the top mountain resorts in North America and possibly on the planet.
No matter what the season, there's always lots to do in Whistler. The resort is famous for its world class skiing and snowboarding with record numbers of fresh powder days. Close to Whistler you can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, heli-skiing and lots of other back-country activities, in some of the most pristine terrain you could find anywhere. Mountain biking, golf, hiking and climbing are just some of the many things you can do during the summer.
You can get to Whistler by bus from Vancouver or from Vancouver airport. Driving the recently renovated "Sea-to-Sky" Highway 99 is breathtakingly beautiful. The resort is about two hours north of downtown Vancouver.
